Upon awakening during a school excursion, Yogiri Takatou discovers a scene of utter chaos and destruction. He is shocked to learn that his entire class has been transported to a different world, and unfortunately, he missed out on the Gift that the enigmatic Sage bestowed upon his classmates. As if that weren't bad enough, he and a fellow student are abandoned by their companions, who use them as decoys to distract a dragon.
